Coastal Airbnb Guest Bedroom.

How do you create a comfortable coastal style Airbnb guest bedroom with only a small space to play with? Using a gallery wall as a strong focal point, along with a colour palette that was cohesive with the whole apartment did the trick nicely.

How we achieved this look:

  1. Cohesive Gallery Wall

Keeping the gallery wall unified with the same type of framing and all black and white helps the eye see ‘one’ big piece of art. This helps our guestroom feel larger and gives an impactful feature to the room. Adding meaningful art like this Australian coastal photography from Love Your Space gives a nod to the location and style of the apartment.

  2. Muted Colour Palette

The use of a mix of colours of rust, sage green, grey all in muted tones allows the navy beds to really sing! Add to that some texture of blonde woods and rattan and you get a relaxed coastal vibe for guests to enjoy.

  3. Serene Sheers

When working with existing blinds that don’t add anything aesthetically to the space, the use of sheers helps hide this practical element. It also doesn’t hurt that they add a lovely soft, flowing feel!
